After seeing some of my work from 2020 and the art I made for Cruyff, Pincey had approached me to create album art for a single titled “When It’s Too Late.” Once I showed him the finished design, Pincey saw this and felt the need to create more tracks to accompany the visual, resulting in a 5 track EP. Another drawing was needed to release the intital single that was supposed to be released teasing the forthcoming EP, and the result was the drawing of a watch clad forearm.
A race against time and one’s experience with elapsed time after a deteriorating relationship

“Casi Angeles <3”

Heartgaze approached me to design artworks for his debut album entitled “Casi Angeles”︎︎︎- an energetic project which I found recontextualizes sounds/genre reminiscent of late 90s early 2000s, shining a light on a unique side of Spanish music typically unseen and unknown- (particularly in the States, where sounds outside of Reggaton, Salsa, or Bachata are not typically/readily visible to people.) I myself was stunned by the project and was so ecstatic to have recieved the opportunity define the sounds of the music visually.
The artwork was made using photographs taken and provided by Noah Keckler︎︎︎. I digitally altered, stylized and collaged Keckler’s photographs with illustrative iconography and additional graphics.
Each of the artworks found on the singles borrows a section/icon from the complete EP artwork as they are fragments of the full project.

Cruyff is a punk+alternative rock band based in Tokyo, Japan. “lovefullstudentnerdthings”︎︎︎ is the first album of this genre I have the honour of visually representing. The challenge was to create something not often seen on albums within the genre, while staying true to their existing sounds and respective inspirations, which was a diverse selection of sounds and media that aren’t directly or typically associated with the genre’s known aesthetics. This was a dynamic I wanted to play with, as I felt it would be interesting to give a new visual presence to this style of music and their style of sound:
The artworks feature a graphite illustration as per the band’s request and it was composed to exaggerate the interplay between rough and violent illustrative elements and controlled and sleek digital graphic elements- I had gravitated towards this duality after listening to the band’s music and learning a little more about its members.
As the band was a relatively new and upcoming one, I decided it would be cool to design a special logotype for their use on future projects. This logotype is based off a typeface found on their first EP, “hot/iden”︎︎︎.
Additionally provided were further designs for cassette / J-Card product + packaging.
